My home town:
Moved to Atikokan at the age of seven. My dad worked at Steeprock iron mine and Calland Ore until the mines shut down. My mom and two sisters still live in Atikokan. Hope to be home this or next summer. Thanks Heather

Just looking to see who sighed in:
I have not been back for several years now. But I do think of friends that have lived In Aikokan over the years. As our age creeps up on all of us I find myself thinking of retirement and moving back to the place I still call home. Good to see all the people that drop a line in on this page

Looking for an old aquantance named Sheri, Sherri, or Sherry?:
We used to hang out on the rocks by the highway near our cottages at Hall's Lake in Haliburton. Must have been late '60's or early 70's. Just remember that you were from Atikokan. (For some reason I seem to recall a last name of Morris but I could be wrong...) There were a couple of younger sisters (or cousins?) and a big old black lab. Hopefully these picture links work... http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mspeedP5/HallsLake1copy.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mspeedP5/HallsLake2copy.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a105/mspeedP5/HallsLake3copy.jpg

Hometown:
So nice, to see a web sight about were you were born ... great job. I haven't been back for over 20years and often wonder how people are going or where they've gone. Wish there was a web site for ST. Pat to contact old class mate. Like the AHS has. Atikokan will alway hold a dear place in my heart. More than anything I have to say I miss the call of the loons, not may in the city. Plus a good feed of fresh Walley sure would be nice,HUMMMMM Hopeing to get home to see Dad and Marianne this Fall with my Husband as its hard to explain how special our little town with a big heart is... Hope to see you soon HI TO EVERYONE WHO'S STILL AROUND
